The Solarcon Antron 99 is the best-selling glass fiber base antenna.

Consists of 3 white parts and can also be extended with a radial kit.

The total length of the Antron 99 is 5.5 meters.

Can be loaded up to 2000 watts.

With a gain of 9.9 dBi, the antenna is very suitable for the more serious user who is also transmitting at long distances.

You have always progressed with a basic antenna than with a mobile antenna, but with this A99 you also go further than most other base antennas.

This antenna is good for both the novice and the advanced user.

You screw the 3 parts together, put it on a piece of pipe and you can start sending immediately.

If you are Pietje Exact, you can use the rings to adjust the SWR exactly for the frequencies you use.

GENERAL:

The A99 features the Solarcon Twin Ring Adjust-A-Match tuning making it possible to tune the input to the antenna and obtain the optimum S.W.R. over a range of frequencies. Raising the rings raises the frequency and lowering the rings lowers the frequency.

NOTES:

1. The connector at bottom section: When measuring with a multi-meter on the UHF-Female (PL-259) between conductor and ground a short cut will be measured. The reason for this is the special design of the A99 and is totally different from most 'regular' antennas. The same measuring result when checking only the bottom section or all sections installed.
2. Midsection: When measuring with a multi-meter between the top and the bottom of the midsection there will be continuity shown.
3. Remark: In Max2000 there is a capacitor in the midsection because it is a 5/8 wave antenna, but there is no capacitor in the midsection of the A99 as this is a 1/2 wave antenna.
4. Color: There is always a small difference in color between the bottom section and mid/top section. The reason is the difference in the production of these sections.
