The Spectrum Analyzer is possibly Stingers most spectacular component. Its the kind of state of the art measuring equipment one would only expect to encounter in scientific research centers or the R&D department of huge corporations. Price: 50.000,--. Stinger has developed a more affordable miniature version. This enables to dissect a microwave radar signal into patterns, frequencies, and amplitudes.

Stinger has coupled the Spectrum Analyzer with an integrated Phased Array Radar, or patch antenna to serve as the receptor. Until recently, one could only find these credit card thin patch antennas on the nose of military jets like the F-16 and in anti-rocket defense systems.

Stingers engineers enable the Card owner to benefit from these advanced technologies on the road, providing vital information.

The Stinger Card is future-proof because new hardware can simply be added. With the optional Card PC-Interface, you can easily perform software updates via Mac or PC and provide the Card with the latest speed camera locations. Depending on the composition of your Card, you can use the following functions:

	SpotList Alerting Based on its GPS, your Stinger Card can alert you to such extra attention requiring locations as fixed speed traps. Even in countries where Radar Alerting is not allowed, SpotList Alerting will warn you for fixed speed traps.
	Trajectcontrole Alerting On many roads in Europe (UK, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, France, Italy, etc) the police measure your average speed over a fixed distance: generally referred to as SPECS. During SPECS, many drivers continuously keep looking at their speedometer, or drive dangerously slow out of fear of getting a speeding ticket. That is why Stinger has developed SPECS Alerting: you will be alerted when you are approaching SPECS. If at any time during the SPECS your average lies above the set speed limit, your Card will alert you with an audio signal. Additionally, SPECS Alerting shows where you are in the SPECS trajectory. 	Laser Alerting optional with this version  Laser Safety Signals can also transmit 'car-to-car' alerts. This enables a Stinger-Card user who employs Stinger Laser, to alert other Stinger users by initiating or relaying Safety Signals. For instance, a Stinger user who hits the breaks generates a Laser Safety Signal on the Card or Stinger DSI of Stinger users in his vicinity. Safe driving is a part of comfortable driving
	LaserShield, an option with this version With the help of its sensitive laser detection, Stinger Laser swiftly sniffs out a 'police gun' and raises - if so desired by you and were allowed - a Shield as protection against laser rays. After some seconds this protection automatically ceases with the running out of the 'Shield-up' time. During standstill and low speed, the LaserShield cannot be engaged.
	Flexibel Radar Alerting Wherever Radar Alerting is allowed, the Stinger Card can locate police radars. Because of its hyper-intelligent and advanced military technologies, the Stinger Card can catch radar at more than double the distance radar detectors can. The Stinger Card is the best alerter for speed traps in the world.
	Safety Signals A Stinger comprises, among other functions, a special safety system. A Stinger Card is equipped to receive, at a large distance, Safety Signals sent by transmitters that can be used by - for instance - schools, road workers, police, and emergency services. Transmitted Safety Signals are decoded by your Card in real-time, providing you with clear audio and visual alerts much ahead of time.

Equipping Stinger Card with Radar Alerting

In countries where Radar Alerting is not, or may not be, allowed, Stinger offers a version of the Card that is incapable of alerting for radar. Should the legal situation change or one would like to use the Card in a country where radar detection is allowed, then simply by downloading alternate software the user is able to make the Card capable of Radar Alerting. 

Usage of the Radar Alerting software is meant for countries where radar detection is allowed. Stinger recommends not to use Radar Alerting in countries where the use of radar detection has been banned. Specifically for those drivers who use the Stinger Card in countries where employing Radar Alerting is allowed, the Card has been equipped with a function to delete the Radar Alerting software with one push of a button. Consequently, this allows users to abide by, seemingly conflicting, regional rules and regulations.

Radar Alerting Situation

You are driving in a country where Radar Alerting is allowed. Your Stinger Card will sound an alarm. Not too loud, but clear. The display and tone indicate that it is a radar alarm. You drive slowly and keep an eye out for traffic. The alarm continues to sound. Many long meters away you will see a mobile radar control that will not scare you - you had already determined that you are not driving too fast.

Where Radar Alerting is allowed, the Stinger Card with spectrum Analyzer can locate police radars. Thanks to its hyper-intelligent technology, it can recognize radars at more than double the distance that radar detectors - including the legendary Stinger Ventura - can.

Stinger Card undetectable for Radar Detector Detector

Since the Stinger Card is not a Radar Detector, you will probably not be surprised that even the newest Radar Detector Detectors are not capable of detecting it. From a legal point of view, it might be irrelevant that the Card cannot be detected. The Stingers stealth characteristics are, however, an important convenience for the Stinger user: he will not be unnecessarily bothered by the police, asking him whether he is using a radar detector.

Also legal in the Netherlands

Many countries within the E.U. have their own regulations regarding warning and handling of speed traps. From this point of view, Stinger supplies the Card in the Netherlands in a version that is not suitable for Radar Alerting and LaserShield. If you are going to a country where the freedom to use Radar Alerting exists, you can download and install the appropriate Stinger Operating Software. When entering a country where Radar Alerting is not allowed, you can delete this functionality with the push of a button so that you can easily continue to comply with the locally applicable regulations.
