You can use the Laser Freedom with several options.

A laser gun measurement is nothing more than a beep
When the receiver sees that you are being measured by a laser gun, the transmitter immediately sends a signal back, preventing your speed from being measured.
You will hear a beep. After this, the system stays on for 7 seconds.
After this, it turns off so that you can still be measured. That gives you time to adjust your speed to the speed limit.
